When I started my blog - a couple years ago now - there was much debate surrounding film vs. digital, and in general I found it all quite silly; like one of those goofy arguments we came up with as kids: who would win in a fight, Batman or a rhinoceros? Well, here's my first post in two years of a film/analog/old-school photo. I took this a couple weeks back at Golden Gate Beach with my daughter's Nikon FM2, 50mm Nikkor lens, and Tri-X film.
Ha! No contest...Batman wins hands down. So does film. That doesn't mean I'm about to abandon my Digital Rebel, which I love, but I will be firing up my old FM (damn, I sold my F2 years ago) more often. Hey, that's just the way it is. Old movies are better, old music is better, old books are better, film is better. Maybe it's all just part of growing older, that older becomes better. Who knows?
