I came across this musician down town today, and his South American music sounded strangely familiar to me. After chatting with him a while and snapping a few photos, I realized that we have one of his cd's that my wife bought a while back. He plays Andes folk music that has a very unique blend of flute, pipes, and mandolin. To get an idea of what this music sounds like, imagine the background sounds of El Condor Pasa, by Simon and Garfunkel. We had a nice talk, and he gladly allowed me to take some photographs.
