Well, I guess you've noticed...I'm in the midst of a full-blown photoblogging slump. So, where else to turn but my own backyard. But school is out and summer is nearly upon us, so I'll have more time to get out with the camera. These simple photos in green and white represent, for me, new growth. It's time for me to break out of the old photographic habits and try some new things. Meanwhile, in the upper left is the silver maple tree (acer saccharinum), in the middle is the simple beauty of the bridal wreath (vanhoutte spirea), and on the right the blooming soapweed (yucca glauca), all summer staples in our backyard.
