eggplant...sometimes I just have it raw with mayonnaise

photoblogs magazine
I'd like to invite you to stop by and have a look at my on-line magazine, Photoblogs Magazine. In March of 2005 I got the idea of creating a magazine that showcases the work of some photoblogs that I came across after joining photoblogs.org. I put out the idea to some of my favorites, and they answered the call.
I'm hoping that you all will find this to be an entertaining and enlightening site, and look forward to publishing your work in the future. I would like to encourage you to subscribe to the magazine (only subscribers to Photoblogs Magazine will be published). As you consider submitting your work, please keep in mind that I'll be looking for material that has a solid theme. You will be asked to submit eight photographs and 1200 words to go with them. However, please do not submit until you receive the request.
Until then, I'd love to hear your feedback on Photoblogs Magazine.

posting frequency
Unlike most of the popular sites on photoblogs.org that are wonderful about posting every day, I usually only post once or maybe twice per week. I like posting multiple photographs per page that have some theme or connection, so I usually wait until Friday and put together the work from the week.
•NEW! I've added an RSS feed. You can access it here or click on the icon on my index page. I'd be interested in finding out if it works properly and/or if people actually use it, so drop me a note if you have a spare moment.

image handling
All images are processed in Adobe PhotoshopCS 8.0. Unless otherwise noted in the comments box, all photos are minimally processed (e.g., one or two point corrections on brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, etc.), and I very rarely crop photos. Any major color corrections or exposure adjustments will be reported. If specific exposure, ISO, aperture, or other photo data is interesting enough to comment on, I will. Otherwise I won't waste your time.

site design
The hard way. After looking at several blogging softwares, I decided to just create my own template in Dreamweaver, using some html code here and there as I need it (learn as I go). Still, it is not all that difficult...loading a new image takes about ten minutes, which is not bad. My site is hosted by yahoo.com, which I have been very happy with thus far.

camera equipment
Most of my photos are taken with a Canon EOS Rebel, for which I have a Canon 18-55mm f3.5 zoom lens and a Canon 100mm f2.0 lens.
