When we were in LA recently, my good friend Chmill told me to do like the Steely Dan lyrics said, and drive west on Sunset to the sea. We did, and this is where we ended up. It was cool. Sunset really dead ends at the sea, after Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, and Belaire, and all kinds of places, it just ends up in this parking lot at some cheesy restaurant that made us pay like $25 just to park, even though we didn’t go to eat there. But it was a cool, sorta polluted, kinda isolated, cold and windy beach.

I submitted this photo to Weekly Shot for this week’s theme, “High Contrast”. Every once in a while I go back to Weekly Shot, even though the sight can be very annoying in many ways.
